Housekeeping Lead (SEASONAL) - Crystal Mountain Hotel
About The Position
The Housekeeping Lead is responsible for inspecting assigned rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and good repair of furnishings, equipment, and linens. This role provides feedback to room attendants to improve efficiency and quality, ensures associates have proper supplies and equipment, and trains and enforces safety standards. The Lead also completes accident investigations, performs housekeeping duties, updates room statuses, and notifies maintenance of necessary repairs. Additionally, they monitor the overall cleanliness of the hotel, including exterior areas, and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities
- Inspects all assigned rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
- Provides efficient and objective feedback to room attendants to drive efficiency and quality within the housekeeping department.
- Ensures that all associates have proper supplies, equipment, and uniform including nametag and designated PPE.
- Trains associates on safety standards and enforces those standards on a consistent basis. Identifies associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retrains them appropriately.
- Completes accident investigations and takes steps to prevent future accidents.
- Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning.
- Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
- Performs opening and closing shift duties.
- Notifies maintenance department of maintenance repairs necessary.
- Monitors cleanliness of hotel including parking lot and exterior entrances.
- Other duties as assigned.
