About The Position

The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the building and ensures cleanliness standards are met by inspecting all areas. The role helps provide a positive experience for guests and colleagues through room inspections, housekeeping support, staff training, supply organization, and communication about deficiencies.

Requirements

1 to 3 months of related housekeeping experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Solid organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong work ethic and drive to exceed expectations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish rapport with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Conduct opening procedures and distribute work assignments.
Inspect assigned guestrooms to ensure they meet hotel cleanliness standards and that amenities and supplies are efficiently stocked and positioned.
Check fixtures, equipment, and room conditions for proper operation, settings, and maintenance, and report deficiencies.
Communicate cleaning deficiencies to Housekeepers and ensure corrections are made.
Update guestroom status in the Property Management System.
Assist in training Housekeeping associates.
Assist Housekeepers with guestroom cleaning as needed.
Ensure housekeeping storage closets have appropriate supply levels and are organized and clean.
Ensure Lost and Found articles are logged and stored properly.
Keep hallways clear of trash, soiled linen, cribs, rollaways, and other guest service equipment.
Perform housekeeper duties as needed or assigned.
Assist with month-end reporting and inventories.
Assist with department meetings, including developing agendas and presenting.
