Housekeeping Inspector
About The Position
The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for maintaining housekeeping standards across guest and meeting rooms, public spaces, hallways, work areas, and storage areas. The Inspector checks the work of housekeeping staff and may clean rooms, public spaces, or other areas as needed. The role also includes training and coaching staff, conducting new employee training, monitoring productivity, and following facility safety and security procedures. The position serves as an emergency responder for the location. The property is managed by OTO Development, a hotel development and management company that owns and operates upscale select-service, extended-stay, and lifestyle hotels in markets across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Inspect guest rooms, meeting rooms, public spaces, and hallways for cleanliness and order.
- Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary, including cleaning areas to supplement the team's efforts.
- Train and coach housekeeping staff on specific cleaning and room-placement tasks and completion of daily schedules.
- Conduct new employee training.
- Follow facility safety and security guidelines, including key control, emergency response, safe chemical handling, and proper chemical usage.
- Serve as an emergency responder for the location.
- Conduct regular tours of work areas, review housekeeping staff efforts, and check productivity in completing assignments.
