About The Position

This position keeps assigned public spaces—including the pool deck, parking garage, and guest room floors—clean and fully stocked. The Housekeeping Houseperson supports Guest Room Attendants while maintaining Omni standards and exceeding guest expectations. The role also supports pool, cabana, and towel hut operations and provides exceptional service to guests and members.

Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with fellow associates and guests in person or via cellular telephone or radio.
Ability to read and understand daily work assignments.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Ability and willingness to stand for an entire shift while performing repetitive work.
Ability and willingness to bend, stretch, reach, and push moderate to heavy weight.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
Comfort working in and around pools.
CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
Excellent customer service skills.

Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Retrieve soiled linen and garbage from guest rooms, Room Attendants’ carts, and storage closets, and dispose of them through linen chutes or dumpsters.
Maintain hallways, report maintenance issues, and complete special cleaning assignments such as carpet cleaning or repainting areas.
Deliver guest amenities and special requests to guest rooms, including rollaway beds, baby cribs, refrigerators, and toothbrushes or toothpaste.
Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly projects assigned by Housekeeping Managers or Supervisors.
Clean stairwells, elevators, and hallways, keeping them free from debris and room-service trays.
Organize new supplies in the housekeeping storeroom upon delivery and restock floors.
Maintain regular attendance according to resort scheduling needs and Omni standards.
Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards, including wearing the proper attire or uniform and name tag while working.
Clean and maintain the pool facility and parking garage daily.
Arrange lounge chairs neatly and clean them weekly.
Supervise cabana and towel hut operations.
Enforce pool rules to ensure guest safety and respectfully assist guests and members upon request.
Clean bathrooms thoroughly, including sweeping, mopping, deep-cleaning utilities, and dusting.
Attend monthly department meetings and company-required training.
Provide clean pool towels and remove dirty towels, placing them in the laundry chute.
Open umbrellas at the beginning of the morning shift and close them at the end of the afternoon shift.
Patrol the pool area and remove trash.
Complete other tasks assigned by management.
