About The Position

This role involves supervising daily housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet high cleanliness standards, and managing a team. The supervisor will be responsible for scheduling, training, inspecting rooms, and maintaining operational efficiency within the housekeeping department.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping experience required
  • Strong knowledge of hotel cleanliness standards, room inspection procedures, and guest service expectations.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate a housekeeping team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to train, coach, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Must be dependable, professional, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and push/pull housekeeping equipment throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule required, including weekends, holidays, and peak occupancy periods.
  • Ability to effectively handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel property management systems are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare schedules for the staff and complete the work distribution report, ensuring all sections are covered.
  • Thoroughly inspect guest rooms and public areas daily to ensure they are cleaned according to company standards.
  • Train and supervise all new associates and provide on-going training for current staff.
  • Check for early make-ups, special requests and VIPs.
  • Maintain proper written records for lost and found.
  • Run a departure report and recheck all rooms showing up in your assigned section.
  • Write up work orders for all repairs and immediately report any broken door locks or safety hazards to management for immediate attention.
  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations and assign room sections.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure brand standards are met.
  • Assist Executive Housekeeper with scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure rooms are cleaned and ready for guest arrivals in a timely manner.
  • Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and report shortages.
  • Follow and enforce hotel safety, security, and cleanliness procedures.
  • Assist with room cleaning when needed to support operational demands.
