About The Position

Marriott Syracuse Downtown is seeking a full-time Floor Houseperson for its Housekeeping department. The role helps maintain Crescent’s quality standards by keeping guest-floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas clean and by assisting room attendants.

Requirements

• Have a self-starting personality and an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner.
• Communicate well with guests.
• Be willing to help coworkers and work as part of a team.
• Be able to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods.
• Be able to lift equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Maintain flexible availability.

Nice To Haves

• Guest Room Attendant, housekeeping, cleaning, or sanitizing experience.

Responsibilities

• Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants, including delivering supplies directly to room attendants when needed.
• Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash.
• Clean spots from corridor walls and doors; polish and clean mirrors, guest room door numbers, and elevator doors.
• Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers.
• Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by a supervisor.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
