About The Position

The Housekeeping Floor Houseperson supports room attendants by stocking linen closets with amenities and supplies and may deliver supplies directly to room attendants. The role maintains guest-room corridors and shared hotel areas, handles soiled linen and trash, and moves furniture or flips mattresses as assigned by a supervisor. Regular attendance and availability to work on a regular basis are required.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants, and deliver supplies directly to room attendants when needed.
• Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash.
• Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors; polish and clean mirrors, guest room door numbers, and elevator doors.
• Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers.
• Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by a supervisor.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
