About The Position

The Housekeeping Floor Houseperson maintains guest-room floors and common areas by supplying linen closets and room attendants, removing soiled linen and trash, and cleaning corridors and other assigned areas. The role may involve delivering supplies directly to room attendants, flipping mattresses, and moving furniture as assigned by a supervisor. The position requires regular attendance, following supervisory instructions, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from a supervisor.
• Ability to comply with attendance rules and maintain regular availability.

Responsibilities

• Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants.
• Take supplies directly to room attendants when needed.
• Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash.
• Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors.
• Polish and clean mirrors, guest-room door room numbers, and elevator doors.
• Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers.
• Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by a supervisor.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Follow instructions from the supervisor.
