About The Position

The Housekeeping Floor Manager at The Cosmopolitan leads a team responsible for cleanliness, comfort, and service throughout assigned areas of the property. The manager oversees daily housekeeping operations in a fast-paced luxury resort environment, supports team members, upholds departmental standards, and helps deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of prior relevant experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, including safety guideline implementation and enforcement, proper chemical usage, handling of biohazard materials, and injury prevention.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in housekeeping and/or hotel management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth operation of assigned housekeeping areas.
• Supervise, train, direct, and assist Guest Room Attendants and House Persons.
• Conduct daily briefings and schedule meetings with assigned team members.
• Ensure guest rooms, hallways, lockers, lobbies, and assigned public areas meet departmental cleanliness standards.
• Perform daily written guest room inspections and frequent visual inspections of guest rooms and public areas.
• Monitor team productivity and communicate performance concerns or areas below standards to the Executive Assistant Housekeeper.
• Distribute workloads fairly and evenly among assigned team members.
• Provide feedback, coaching, counseling, and discipline concerning job performance, guest service, and department policies and procedures.
