About The Position
Performs housekeeping responsibilities to maintain a clean, safe environment throughout the hospital. The position is scheduled for 16 hours, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, and includes weekend coverage. The role cleans patient rooms, discharge rooms, precaution rooms, restrooms, offices, conference rooms, entrances, lobbies, waiting areas, utility rooms, nourishment stations, corridors, and ancillary areas according to hospital and department standards. Duties include disinfecting surfaces, cleaning floors, and maintaining floor finishes. The employee operates floor-cleaning equipment and vacuums, helps maintain equipment cleanliness, and assists in training new personnel. Influenza vaccination is required as a condition of employment.
Requirements
- 0–1 year of work experience is required.

Responsibilities
- Clean patient rooms daily using hospital and department standards and seven-step procedures, including disinfecting surfaces, restrooms, and floors.
- Clean patient discharge rooms.
- Clean precaution rooms according to Infection Control policies and use proper disinfectants.
- Clean restrooms daily according to hospital and department standards and seven-step procedures.
- Clean offices and conference rooms daily according to hospital and department standards and seven-step procedures.
- Clean entrances, lobbies, and waiting areas daily; vacuum carpets according to department procedures.
- Clean utility rooms and nourishment stations according to hospital and department standards and seven-step procedures.
- Clean corridors and ancillary areas according to hospital and department standards and seven-step procedures.
- Clean, strip, refinish, spray buff, shampoo, and maintain floors.
- Operate automatic floor machines, buffing machines, shampooing machines, and vacuums.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of equipment.
- Assist in training new personnel.
- Promote the organization's WE CARE values.
