Housekeeping Environmental Services- 40 Hours 3:00 PM- 11:30 PM
About The Position
Performs housekeeping responsibilities to maintain a clean, safe environment throughout the hospital. Cleans patient rooms, restrooms, offices, conference rooms, entrances, lobbies, waiting areas, utility rooms, nourishment stations, corridors, and ancillary areas according to hospital and department standards and seven-step procedures. Duties include disinfecting surfaces, cleaning patient discharges and precaution rooms in accordance with Infection Control policies, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning, stripping, refinishing, spray-buffing, shampooing, and maintaining floors. Operates floor-care equipment and vacuums, helps maintain equipment cleanliness, and assists in training new personnel. The schedule is 40 hours, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays required.
Requirements
- 0–1 year of work experience is required.
- Staff must be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities
- Clean patient rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures, including proper disinfection of surfaces, restrooms, and floors.
- Clean patient discharges.
- Clean precaution rooms according to Infection Control policies using proper disinfectants.
- Clean restrooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
- Clean offices and conference rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
- Clean entrances, lobbies, and waiting areas daily according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures; vacuum carpets according to department procedures.
- Clean utility rooms and nourishment stations according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
- Clean corridors and ancillary areas according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
- Clean, strip, refinish, spray-buff, shampoo, and maintain floors.
- Operate automatic floor machines, buffing machines, shampooing machines, and vacuums.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of equipment.
- Assist in training new personnel.
