About The Position

Performs housekeeping responsibilities to maintain a clean, safe environment throughout the hospital. The role works 40 hours from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays required. The position includes cleaning and maintaining patient rooms, restrooms, offices, public areas, utility rooms, nourishment stations, corridors, and ancillary areas according to hospital and department standards and applicable Infection Control policies. It also involves floor care, equipment cleanliness, and assisting with training new personnel. Requirements

• 0–1 year of work experience is required.
• Staff must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms daily using the hospital's and department's seven-step procedures, including disinfecting surfaces, restrooms, and floors.
• Clean patient discharge rooms.
• Clean precaution rooms according to Infection Control policies using proper disinfectants.
• Clean restrooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
• Clean offices and conference rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
• Clean entrances, lobbies, and waiting areas daily according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
• Vacuum carpets according to department procedures.
• Clean utility rooms and nourishment stations according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
• Clean corridors and ancillary areas according to hospital and department standards using seven-step procedures.
• Clean, strip, refinish, spray buff, shampoo, and maintain floors.
• Operate automatic floor, buffing, and shampooing machines, as well as vacuums.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of equipment.
• Assist in training new personnel.
