About The Position

The Housekeeper works in Environmental Services at Texas Health Dallas, contributing to a team environment in a fast-paced, high-volume department. The role cleans assigned areas according to established procedures and infection-control, sanitation, and safety guidelines; replenishes supplies; maintains housekeeping equipment; and reports broken equipment to a supervisor. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, on an evening shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. It follows a rotating schedule and includes weekend work: every weekend during the first 90 days, followed by rotating weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, and be flexible in assignments.
• Ability to work around housekeeping chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas according to procedure and established infection-control, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, remove trash and dirty linen, and clean sinks, commodes, countertops, showers, and beds.
• Replenish supplies on housekeeping carts or in assigned areas to prepare the work area for the next service period.
• Keep all equipment clean and report broken equipment to the supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
