About The Position

The Housekeeper supports Texas Health Dallas by cleaning assigned areas according to established procedures and infection control, sanitation, and safety guidelines. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, removing trash and dirty linen, and cleaning sinks, commodes, countertops, showers, and beds. The role also involves replenishing supplies, maintaining equipment, and reporting broken equipment to a supervisor. Other related duties may be assigned. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week evening-shift position at Texas Health Dallas in Dallas, Texas. The schedule is 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and includes rotating weekends. Employees work every weekend during their first 90 days, then work rotating weekends. The Environmental Services department is fast-paced and high-volume, with mentorship, comprehensive training, and dedicated leadership resources.

Requirements

Able to work around housekeeping chemicals.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work independently, set priorities, and be flexible in assignments.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Six months of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned areas according to procedure and established infection control, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, remove trash and dirty linen, and clean sinks, commodes, countertops, showers, and beds.
Replenish supplies on housekeeping carts or in assigned areas to prepare for the next service period.
Keep equipment clean and report broken equipment to the supervisor.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
