Housekeeper (PRN / Evenings)
About The Position
The Housekeeper works in Environmental Services at Texas Health Dallas in a fast-paced, high-volume department. This PRN, as-needed role is scheduled for the evening shift, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The position contributes to a teamwork environment and includes mentorship, comprehensive training, and dedicated leadership resources. The Housekeeper cleans assigned areas according to procedures and established infection-control, sanitation, and safety guidelines. Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, removing trash and dirty linen, and cleaning sinks, commodes, countertops, showers, and beds. The role also involves replenishing supplies, maintaining equipment, and reporting broken equipment to a supervisor.
Requirements
- Six months of related experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and remain flexible in assignments.
- Ability to work around housekeeping chemicals.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean assigned areas according to procedures and established infection-control, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust; remove trash and dirty linen; and clean sinks, commodes, countertops, showers, and beds.
- Replenish supplies on housekeeping carts or in assigned areas to prepare the work area for the next service period.
- Keep equipment clean and report broken equipment to the supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
