Housekeeper (PRN / Evenings)
About The Position
The Housekeeper supports environmental services at Texas Health Dallas by cleaning assigned areas according to established procedures and infection control, sanitation, and safety guidelines. Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, removing trash and dirty linen, and cleaning sinks, commodes, countertops, showers, and beds. The Housekeeper replenishes supplies for the next service period, keeps equipment clean, and reports broken equipment to a supervisor. Other related duties may be assigned. The department is described as fast-paced and high-volume, with mentorship, comprehensive training, and dedicated leadership resources.
Requirements
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and be flexible with assignments.
- Ability to work around housekeeping chemicals.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Six months of related experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean assigned areas according to procedure and established infection control, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, remove trash and dirty linen, and clean sinks, commodes, countertops, showers, and beds.
- Replenish supplies on housekeeping carts or in assigned areas to prepare for the next service period.
- Keep equipment clean and report broken equipment to the supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
