About The Position

The Housekeeper works in Environmental Services at Texas Health Dallas, a fast-paced, high-volume department. This PRN, as-needed role is scheduled for the evening shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Dallas hospital. The Housekeeper cleans assigned areas in accordance with established procedures and infection-control, sanitation, and safety guidelines. Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, removing trash and dirty linen, and cleaning sinks, commodes, countertops, showers, and beds. The role also involves replenishing supplies, maintaining equipment cleanliness, reporting broken equipment to a supervisor, and performing related duties as assigned. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Six months of related experience preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, set priorities, and be flexible in assignments.
Ability to work around housekeeping chemicals.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned areas according to procedure and established infection-control, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust; remove trash and dirty linen; and clean sinks, commodes, countertops, showers, and beds.
Replenish supplies on housekeeping carts or in assigned areas to prepare for the next service period.
Keep equipment clean and report broken equipment to the supervisor.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
