About The Position

The Housekeeper – Evening Shift is one of eight housekeeping positions in UREC. The role is primarily responsible for daily cleaning and sanitizing of UREC facilities, including the Student Recreation Center, Quinn Center, Mt. Mitchell Fitness Center, State Farm Fields Restroom Facility, Broadstone Park Facilities, and the Bike App Trailer. The position also supports UREC programs and services through event setup and breakdown, and assists maintenance staff inside and outside the facilities. During winter weather, the housekeeper performs snow and ice removal at facility entrances and walkways as needed.

Requirements

• Some knowledge of cleaning procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Special certification may be required for some positions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a housekeeper or custodian in an educational or health care environment.
• Experience operating floor maintenance equipment.
• Ability to work both in team and individual settings.
• Ability to obtain any required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize UREC facilities daily, including the Student Recreation Center, Quinn Center, Mt. Mitchell Fitness Center, State Farm Fields Restroom Facility, Broadstone Park Facilities, and the Bike App Trailer.
• Set up and break down events to support UREC programs and services.
• Support maintenance staff inside and outside facilities.
• Remove snow and ice from facility entrances and walkways as needed during winter weather.
