About The Position

Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment. Performs housekeeping and custodial work to support facility cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control. The position may also perform other functions and tasks as assigned. Management may add or remove duties when circumstances dictate.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment preferred.
Valid state driver's license where required by the facility.
CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.
First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain the facility’s general upkeep, sanitation, and cleanliness.
Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies using appropriate cleaning processes and germicides.
Perform other housekeeping duties, including moving and arranging furniture, turning mattresses, cleaning kitchens and utensils, and sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors as needed.
Launder soiled linens as directed.
Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department or unit use.
Clean and properly store equipment and supplies after each shift.
Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
Stock supplies as needed.
Follow all infection control measures.
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
