About The Position

Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment. Performs cleaning and custodial work to maintain the facility’s sanitation and cleanliness, including disinfecting rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies with appropriate processes and germicides. Other duties include arranging furniture, handling linens, maintaining and storing cleaning supplies and equipment, preparing rooms for meetings and facility functions, and following infection control measures. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment preferred.
Valid state driver’s license where required by the facility.
CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.
First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain the facility’s upkeep, sanitation, and cleanliness.
Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies using appropriate cleaning processes and germicides.
Move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens and utensils, and sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors as needed.
Launder soiled linens as directed.
Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department or unit use.
Clean and store equipment and supplies properly after each shift.
Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
Stock supplies as needed.
Follow all infection control measures.
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
