Housekeeper, Evening Shift, Environmental Services
About The Position
Shady Grove Medical Center is hiring an experienced Housekeeper for its Environmental Services Department. The role supports Adventist HealthCare’s mission to extend God’s care through physical, mental, and spiritual healing. The Housekeeper performs routine cleaning and upkeep, ensures rooms meet inspection standards, reports damages or disturbances, maintains bathroom supplies, and monitors cleaning supplies. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week evening-shift position. The schedule includes working every other weekend, with holiday requirements following the company holiday calendar.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of housekeeping experience.
- Ability to communicate at a level that allows safe and efficient job performance.
- Ability to work with little supervision while maintaining a high level of performance.
- Ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
- Advanced knowledge of cleaning products.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility and dedication to a team environment.
- Ability to work with diverse communities.
- Ability to utilize supplies, tools, and equipment safely and properly.
Nice To Haves
- A high school diploma or GED is highly desired, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
- Ensure rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
- Notify a supervisor or manager about damages, deficits, and disturbances.
- Keep bathrooms stocked with supplies.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and order more as needed.
- Use supplies, tools, and equipment safely and properly.
