About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced Housekeeper for its Environmental Services Department. The role supports Adventist HealthCare’s mission of extending God’s care through physical, mental, and spiritual healing. The Housekeeper performs cleaning and room-inspection duties, reports damages or disturbances, replenishes bathroom supplies, and monitors cleaning supplies. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, on a night shift that includes every other weekend. Holiday requirements follow the company holiday calendar.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience.
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
• Advanced knowledge of cleaning products.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility and dedication to a team environment.
• Ability to work with diverse communities.
• Ability to communicate at a level that allows for safe and efficient job performance.
• Ability to utilize supplies, tools, and equipment safely and properly.

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or GED is highly desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
• Ensure rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
• Notify a supervisor or manager about damages, deficits, or disturbances.
• Keep bathrooms stocked with supplies.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and order more as needed.
• Use supplies, tools, and equipment safely and properly.
