About The Position
Housekeepers at Union Health help provide a clean and safe hospital environment for patients, visitors, and staff, supporting patient care and hospital operations. The role involves routine cleaning, maintaining equipment, following hospital and department rules, and staying current on infection control practices. Housekeepers must reliably arrive on time and complete assigned shifts. Part-time and full-time schedules are available.
Requirements
- Functional grasp of standard written and verbal English.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Flexible schedule to meet department demands.
Nice To Haves
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Previous cleaning experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Follow hospital and department rules and use manuals for guidance.
- Dust, mop, vacuum, and perform other cleaning tasks to support patient and visitor safety.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals appropriately.
- Arrive at work on time and complete assigned shifts reliably.
- Keep equipment clean.
- Stay updated on infection control.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
