About The Position

The Housekeeper works in Environmental Services to keep the hospital safe and clean for patients and families. The role cleans and sanitizes patient rooms and common areas, removes regular and medical waste, uses cleaning equipment, helps arrange rooms, and communicates with nurses, patients, and supervisors about cleaning needs. Paid training is provided, and prior hospital experience is not required.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Previous cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms and common areas using the provided step-by-step system.
• Safely empty regular trash and medical waste bins.
• Use cleaning tools and equipment, including mops, vacuums, carpet cleaners, and floor scrubbers.
• Help move chairs, tables, or hospital equipment when needed.
• Communicate daily with nurses, patients, and supervisors to determine which rooms need cleaning next.
