About The Position

The Housekeeper on the Environmental Services team helps keep the hospital safe and clean for patients and families. The employer provides on-the-job training, and prior hospital experience, a high school diploma, or a degree is not required. Starting pay is based on experience, with compensation of $17.25 to $22.50 per hour. The role offers a stable schedule, with hours provided in advance.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms and common areas using the employer’s step-by-step system.
• Safely empty regular trash and medical waste bins.
• Use cleaning tools and equipment, including mops, vacuums, carpet cleaners, and floor scrubbers.
• Move chairs, tables, or hospital equipment when needed.
• Communicate daily with nurses, patients, and supervisors to determine which rooms need cleaning next.
