About The Position

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a part-time Housekeeper at UConn Health Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut. The position performs light cleaning duties to keep hospital areas clean and orderly, including cleaning rooms and halls, making beds, and replenishing linens. No prior experience is required. The fixed pay rate is $22.47 per hour. The schedule is part time, with days varying; availability for shifts from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. is required. Rotating weekends and holidays are also required.

Requirements

• No prior experience is required.
• Availability to work shifts from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. is required.
• Availability to work rotating weekends and holidays is required.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, detail-oriented customer service.
• Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
• Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
• Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
• Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
• Empty and clean trash containers and dispose of trash sanitarily.
• Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
• Wipe down glass surfaces.
• Make beds and change linens as required.
• Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.
• Respond to guest queries and requests.
• Respond to housekeeping calls involving problems such as spills and broken glasses.
• Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
