About The Position

The Housekeeper inspects hotel guest rooms and common areas to ensure they are cleaned according to standards. The role includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, restocking guest supplies, and vacuuming rooms and hallways. The position requires weekend availability, a flexible schedule, and willingness to work overtime and assist other departments when needed. The hourly rate is $17.25.

Requirements

Ability to stand for 8 hours.
Ability to walk for 8 hours.
Ability to lift, grasp, or carry 25 pounds.
Ability to bend with a full range of motion; repeated bending for 4 hours.
Ability to walk on uneven or slippery conditions.
Ability to understand English when receiving instructions in English.
Ability to operate a computer, specifically Excel and Word.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment, including a vacuum.
Ability to use chemicals properly and safely.

Responsibilities

Inspect hotel guest rooms and common areas to ensure they are cleaned according to standards.
Make beds using hospital corners and leave them wrinkle-free.
Clean bathrooms with appropriate cleaners, leaving chrome and tile spotless.
Dust rooms, including wall hangings, furniture, glass, molding, and lamps.
Restock guest supplies in rooms.
Vacuum rooms and hallways.
Work weekends, including Saturday and Sunday, and holidays or flexible hours as needed.
Work overtime when needed.
Help other departments when needed.
Comply with hotel policies and procedures regarding attendance and attire.
