HOUSEKEEPER (ON CALL)
About The Position
Crothall Healthcare is hiring an on-call Housekeeper at DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in Commerce Township, Michigan. The position performs light cleaning to maintain a clean and orderly healthcare facility. Duties include cleaning floors, carpets, furniture, fixtures, wash basins, mirrors, tubs, showers, and glass surfaces; handling trash and linens; making beds; and responding to housekeeping requests and problems. The role also provides attentive customer service and contributes to team efforts with professionalism. The pay range is $18.77 to $19.00 per hour. Days and hours may vary, and rotating weekends and holidays are required.
Requirements
- Prior housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service with attention to detail.
- Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
- Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
- Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
- Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
- Empty and clean trash containers and dispose of trash sanitarily.
- Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
- Wipe down glass surfaces.
- Make beds and change linens as required.
- Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.
- Respond to guest queries and requests.
- Respond to housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses.
- Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
