About The Position

Crothall Healthcare is hiring an on-call Housekeeper at Ashe Memorial Hospital in Jefferson, North Carolina. This PRN position has a variable schedule, with second-shift hours and weekend availability required. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The pay range is $13.00 to $22.00 per hour. The Housekeeper performs light cleaning to maintain a clean and orderly healthcare environment. Duties include cleaning floors, carpets, furniture, fixtures, rooms, and halls; handling linens and beds; sanitizing wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers; and responding to housekeeping requests. The position also involves providing attentive customer service and contributing professionally to team efforts.

Requirements

No prior experience is required; willingness to train.
Weekend availability is required.
Must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Provide quality customer service with attention to detail.
Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
Empty and clean trash containers; dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
Wipe down glass surfaces.
Make beds and change linens as required.
Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.
Respond to guest queries and requests.
Respond to housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses.
Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.
Perform other duties as assigned.
