Housekeeper - Westwood Ridge
About The Position
The Housekeeper maintains a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, helping them feel at home with dignity, respect, and safety. The role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and support spaces; coordinating housekeeping work with the team; and supporting resident move-ins and move-outs. The Housekeeper follows infection-control and safety procedures, respects residents’ time, personal space, and belongings, assists with resident evacuations during emergencies, and completes required documentation. The position also includes attending in-service training and carrying out special projects as assigned. The listed duties are representative and may not include all assigned work. This is an hourly, non-exempt, full-time position in Environmental Services at Westwood Ridge. The schedule is 80 hours per pay period, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Travel is not required, and the role has no supervisory responsibilities. Pay is $16–$17.50, based on location, education, and experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Housekeeping, cleaning, or environmental-services experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
- Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with residents, team members, and family.
- Understanding of safety and infection-control procedures.
- Physical capability to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, standing, and moving equipment.
- Ability to pass a state-mandated background check.
