About The Position

The Housekeeper performs commercial cleaning duties at the FedEx NY Maspeth location using ServiceMaster TBS Division task schedules, products, tools, and procedures. Duties include routine cleaning and weekly detailed cleaning. On-the-job training is provided to candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Requirements

Arrive at the work location at the scheduled time and work within the allotted hours.
Respect and understand co-workers and customers, and contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude.
Be able to differentiate between cleaning products and their uses.
Be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Be able to perform constant standing, walking, pushing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
Be willing to travel and stay overnight.

Responsibilities

Empty trash.
Dust furniture, including desks, chairs, and tables.
Dust exposed surfaces, including window sills, ledges, and moldings.
Clean glass and mirrors.
Clean and sanitize restrooms using ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
Vacuum and mop floors.
Perform weekly detailed cleaning.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
Complete special requests made by the client and record them in the company log.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Wear the proper uniform at all times.
