About The Position

This is a full-time Housekeeper position. The role requires the ability to perform various cleaning tasks throughout the facility, interact with residents and staff, and handle potential emergency situations. The work environment can be occasionally uncomfortable due to temperature variations, and the role involves frequent interruptions and the need for flexibility in scheduling, including potential work beyond normal hours, weekends, and holidays, as well as being subject to call-back during emergencies.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position, including possible frequent interruptions during the work day.
• Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility.
• Must be able to safely operate equipment necessary for position.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must be able to maintain a rapport with the residents and their families.
• Must be able to cooperate and work effectively with other team members.

Nice To Haves

• Six (6) months housekeeping experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, or six (6) months of practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning activities in all areas of the facility.
• Operate equipment necessary for the position safely.
• Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
• Work on feet throughout the work day, walking, and bending.
• Push, pull, move, and/or lift objects repeatedly.
• Repeatedly lift 25 lbs. unassisted throughout shift.
