About The Position

TerraBella Senior Living is seeking a Housekeeper to join the Summit Place of South Park community. The role performs scheduled cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout assigned areas, including resident apartments, common areas, lounges, and offices. It also includes collecting, cleaning, and redistributing community laundry and keeping the commercial laundry area sanitary and orderly. The Housekeeper maintains equipment and supplies, stores cleaning chemicals safely, keeps hazards and obstructions clear of exits, and reports repair or supply needs to the Lead Housekeeper. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of the residents.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Demonstrated interest in working with a senior population.
Interact with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms; frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and occasionally sit.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Close and color vision.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning duties according to daily, weekly, and monthly schedules in assigned apartment homes, common areas, lounges, and offices.
Sweep, dust, dust mop, and wet mop floors and stairways; spot clean and vacuum floors, rugs, carpets, and runners.
Rotate runners in hallways and entryways.
Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures and facilities; restock dispensers as needed.
Scrub bathroom and shower-room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills.
Maintain equipment and materials in a clean and orderly condition.
Collect trash and refuse from work areas and place it in designated pickup areas.
Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry.
Keep the commercial laundry area clean, orderly, and sanitary.
Store and lock cleaning chemicals when they are not in use.
Keep cords, carts, equipment, and other hazards out of the way and clear of exits in compliance with fire codes.
Report needed repairs and supply or equipment needs to the Lead Housekeeper.
Perform other duties as assigned.
