About The Position

Multnomah Athletic Club is hiring a Housekeeper for a full-time, fully onsite position at its club in Portland, Oregon. Housekeepers help maintain the facility’s cleanliness and presentation and contribute to a welcoming environment for members and staff. The required schedule is 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Be punctual and dependable.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and members.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to frequently bend, squat, climb, twist, and crawl; reach above the shoulders; and grasp or squeeze objects.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift and work safely with chemicals.

Nice To Haves

• Basic janitorial skills and familiarity with cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect restroom surfaces, including toilets, partitions, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures.
• Check and restock supplies such as soap, tissues, toilet paper, seat covers, paper towels, cologne, and combs.
• Clean and dust offices, the reading lounge, and other areas; polish furniture; and empty trash and recycling containers.
• Deliver fresh towels, collect used towels, and transport used towels to the laundry holding area.
• Vacuum carpets and dust or damp mop floors.
• Spot-wash walls in sport court spaces to remove marks and scuffs.
• Safely use cleaning fluids, chemicals, and agents with personal protective equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
