About The Position

The Housekeeper performs skilled and routine maintenance tasks necessary to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned condominium units. The role includes cleaning assigned areas in accordance with management direction and the company’s “green” initiatives, replenishing room items, performing laundry duties as assigned, and reporting quality-control issues, needed repairs, and safety concerns to management. Physical presence at the job site is essential.

Requirements

Partial high school education; a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
Strong sanitation habits and ability to learn and follow safety precautions.
Strong customer service abilities and willingness to assist customers and coworkers.
Ability to recognize problems and communicate them to management.
Ability to read and write work-related documents in English.
Ability to understand spoken English and speak clearly with customers and coworkers.
Ability to communicate constantly with employees in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to move frequently on foot within the unit, bend, lift, carry, reach above shoulder height, and adapt to a changing environment.
Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 35 pounds regularly, 45 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand for the entire workday and climb steps regularly.
Ability to withstand temperature extremes in indoor and outdoor environments and work in wet, slippery, hot, and damp conditions.
Ability to frequently immerse hands in water.
Physical presence at the job site to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned areas as directed by management and in compliance with the company’s green initiatives.
Change linens and make beds.
Dust and clean furniture, picture frames, mirrors, windows, baseboards, carpet edges, door panels, door ledges, and thresholds.
Remove trash from receptacles and other areas, and replace trash bags as needed.
Clean and vacuum under beds, desks, gaming tables, and behind nightstands.
Check and replace missing room items, including soaps, shampoos, conditioners, hangers, clocks, ice bucket liners, hair dryers, brochures, and stationery.
Clean bathrooms and ensure tubs, sinks, vanity shelves, toilets, scales, tissue box covers, and soap dishes are free of spots, mold, mildew, and dust.
Sweep and mop bathroom floors.
Dust lights, sconces, makeup mirrors, and lampshades.
Perform laundry duties as assigned.
Notify the Supervisor of housekeeping quality-control issues and needed repairs.
Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them immediately to a manager.
Assist customers and coworkers as appropriate.
