About The Position

The Housekeeper at The Inn at Snowbird performs cleaning duties to ensure hotel rooms are clean, orderly, and attractive. The employee receives a list of assigned rooms and may assist other housekeepers to complete room cleaning in a timely manner. Duties may also involve cleaning condominium kitchens and delivering special items to guest rooms.

The position is full-time and regular, with a scheduled shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on any day of the week, or until the job is complete. Weekend and holiday work is required. The role may involve occasional overnight stays during road closures, exposure to cleaning chemicals and winter conditions, and physical tasks such as lifting, standing, bending, kneeling, and moving furniture.

Requirements

• Six months of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable and prompt to work, mature, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Basic competency in reading, writing, speaking, simple arithmetic, and interpersonal relations.
• Ability to exercise some judgment within policy guidelines and solve problems or initiate activities within the job description and responsibility limits without supervisory approval.
• Ability to interact pleasantly with guests and employees and maintain good working relationships with other departments.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to push or pull beds and move chairs and tables.
• Must use care when working daily with cleaning chemicals.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms by making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming, cleaning mirrors, emptying trash, and scrubbing toilets, showers, sinks, and floors.
• Occasionally clean condominium kitchens.
• Pick up spills, litter, and other items to maintain cleanliness in guest rooms and condominiums.
• Deliver special items to guest rooms.
• Sort, wash, and fold linen.
• Maintain and clean housekeeping closets.
• Assist other housekeepers as necessary to complete room cleaning in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties assigned by the housekeeping director or supervisor.
