About The Position

The Housekeeper performs scheduled housekeeping tasks as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing residences and their contents, community common areas, offices, and bathrooms; handling laundry; and maintaining clean, organized, and properly stocked housekeeping carts. The position may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander. The work schedule is as assigned and may include some weekends, evenings, and holidays. This is a non-exempt position.

Requirements

Read, write, and communicate effectively in English with residents, families, guests, and other associates.
Work safely with cleaning chemicals and tolerate exposure to chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander.
Safely perform movements including pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize residences and their contents, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning kitchen and bath fixtures, turning mattresses, moving light furniture, and emptying trash receptacles.
Clean resident apartments, offices, bathrooms, and other community common areas.
Assist with cleaning and refurbishing residences when they become vacant.
Wash, dry, fold, and store community and resident linens and other laundry.
Coordinate delivery and return of resident laundry.
Keep housekeeping carts clean and organized.
Stock carts with appropriate cleaning supplies in OSHA-approved containers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
