About The Position

The Housekeeper performs scheduled housekeeping tasks assigned by the housekeeping supervisor. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing resident residences and community spaces, maintaining furniture and equipment, handling laundry, and keeping housekeeping carts clean, organized, and stocked. The role requires effective communication in English and the ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals, including exposure to chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander. The work schedule is assigned and may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Requirements

• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English with residents, families, guests, and other associates.
• Work safely with cleaning chemicals and tolerate exposure to chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander.
• Safely perform pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize residences and contents, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning kitchen and bath fixtures, turning mattresses, moving light furniture, and emptying trash receptacles.
• Clean resident apartments, offices, bathrooms, and other common areas in the community.
• Clean and refurbish vacated residences.
• Wash, dry, fold, and store community and resident linens and other laundry.
• Coordinate delivery and return of resident laundry.
• Keep housekeeping carts clean and organized.
• Stock carts with appropriate cleaning supplies in OSHA-approved containers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
