About The Position

The Housekeeper performs scheduled housekeeping tasks assigned by the housekeeping supervisor. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing residences and their contents, as well as offices, bathrooms, and common areas. The role also includes cleaning vacated residences, handling community and resident laundry, and maintaining clean, organized, and properly stocked housekeeping carts. Work is scheduled as assigned and may include weekends, evenings, and holidays. This is a non-exempt position.

Requirements

• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English with residents, families, guests, and other associates.
• Work safely with cleaning chemicals and tolerate exposure to chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander.
• Safely perform movements including pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize residences and their contents, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning kitchen and bathroom fixtures, turning mattresses, moving light furniture, and emptying trash receptacles.
• Clean resident apartments, offices, bathrooms, and other common areas in the community.
• Assist with cleaning and refurbishing residences when they become vacant.
• Wash, dry, fold, and store community and resident linens and other laundry.
• Coordinate delivery and return of resident laundry.
• Keep housekeeping carts clean and organized.
• Stock carts with appropriate cleaning supplies in OSHA-approved containers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
