About The Position

The Housekeeper performs scheduled housekeeping tasks assigned by the housekeeping supervisor. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing residences, resident apartments, offices, bathrooms, and common areas; cleaning furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware; and helping clean and refurbish vacated residences. The role also includes laundering and coordinating the delivery and return of resident laundry, and keeping housekeeping carts clean, organized, and stocked with appropriate supplies in OSHA-approved containers. The position may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, fumes, dust, and pet dander, and requires the ability to perform physical tasks safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Read, write, and communicate effectively in English with residents, families, guests, and other associates.
Work safely with cleaning chemicals and tolerate exposure to chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander.
Safely perform movements including pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled housekeeping tasks assigned by the housekeeping supervisor.
Clean and sanitize residences and contents, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning kitchen and bath fixtures, turning mattresses, moving light furniture, and emptying trash receptacles.
Clean resident apartments, offices, bathrooms, and other common areas.
Assist with cleaning and refurbishing residences when they become vacant.
Wash, dry, fold, and store community and resident linens and other laundry.
Coordinate delivery and return of resident laundry.
Keep housekeeping carts clean and organized and stocked with appropriate cleaning supplies in OSHA-approved containers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
