About The Position

Focused Post Acute Care Partners is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting their independence and dignity. The role focuses on resident safety, personal care, mobility, feeding, toileting, and maintaining a supportive, protective, and safe environment. The aide follows assignments made by the charge nurse, responds to call lights, and documents care using electronic medical records, including PointClickCare. The position is full-time at Focused Care at Huntsville in Huntsville, Texas. A $5,000 bonus is referenced in the job title.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas.
Must be in good standing on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry and Misconduct Registry.
Ability to understand, remember, and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents.
Ability to safely push, pull, lift, bend, kneel, and reach, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Promote resident safety, independence, and dignity while assisting with activities of daily living.
Provide personal care, including bathing, showering, shampooing, shaving, combing hair, dressing, and nail care.
Follow the resident assignment schedule prepared by the charge nurse.
Lift, move, and transfer residents as required.
Answer call lights in a timely manner.
Assist residents with eating or feed them.
Keep residents clean and dry, including providing toileting and incontinence care.
Provide a supportive, protective, and safe environment for residents.
Use electronic medical records for charting, including PointClickCare.
Perform other duties as assigned.
