About The Position

The Dietary Aide helps with meal preparation, delivery, meal service, and cleanup in accordance with current regulatory standards and the established policies and procedures of the Department of Food & Nutrition Services. The role supports cleanliness, sanitation, safety, infection control, and positive customer service for residents, family members, guests, and team members. Other duties may be required as needed.

Requirements

A ROCKSTAR attitude.
Ability to read, write, and speak English, communicate effectively, and carry out verbal and/or written instructions.
Food Handlers Certification must be presented during orientation and before working in the kitchen.
Ability to safely push, pull, lift, bend, kneel, and reach, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Ability to maintain regular attendance in accordance with the FPACP attendance policy.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the cook with food preparation and delivery and/or collect and wash dishes and utensils, according to shift assignments.
Handle chemicals and cleaning compounds properly, using personal protective equipment and following safety guidelines.
Keep work areas clean and safe in accordance with sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures.
Complete scheduled cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing walls and equipment, while wearing PPE as instructed by the supervisor.
Use equipment safely and immediately report equipment that needs service or repair.
Follow appropriate workplace behavior and the Department of Food & Nutrition Services dress code.
Maintain regular attendance in accordance with the FPACP attendance policy.
Promote positive customer service with residents, family members, guests, and team members.
Perform other duties as needed.
