Housekeeper - Day Shift

About The Position

The Housekeeper works in Environmental Services and reports to the ES/Laundry Manager. This is a full-time day-shift position with hours from 8 AM to 4 PM. The Housekeeper cleans rooms and other areas of the facility, follows established safety procedures, and assists with laundry and other housekeeping duties as needed.

Requirements

Must be able to positively interact with other staff, residents, and families.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in healthcare environmental services is preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean facility rooms in the proper manner.
Follow established safety procedures and precautions when performing housekeeping services.
Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and room heating and cooling units in resident rooms and recreational areas as instructed.
Clean, wash, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures, and remove water marks from fixtures.
Clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance and exit ways.
Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing.
Clean floors by sweeping, dusting, and damp or wet mopping; set up appropriate caution and safety signs before performing these duties.
Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed.
Assist in the laundry as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
