About The Position

Suite Living Senior Care of Burnsville is a 32-unit Assisted Living and Memory Care facility seeking a professional and compassionate Housekeeper. The role involves cleaning assigned areas, properly handling housekeeping supplies and equipment, and following facility policies and health and safety standards. The Housekeeper may also assist with Caregiver duties as needed. The position is full-time, approximately 30 hours per week, with a schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Excellent knowledge of housekeeping duties and expectations.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Respectful and compassionate attitude toward the geriatric population.
• Excellent time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills when interacting with residents, staff members, and families.
• Physical aptitude to perform the functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a Senior Living community is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience as a Caregiver is strongly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, dust, wash, scour, and sanitize assigned areas.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed to clean.
• Store harmful chemicals safely according to OSHA standards and follow building policies for cleaning procedures.
• Use proper body mechanics while cleaning and moving furniture.
• Use housekeeping supplies as needed and properly care for housekeeping equipment.
• Assist with various Caregiver duties as needed.
