About The Position

Maintains a clean, attractive, and safe environment in assigned areas at Sutter Eden Medical Center. Duties include cleaning, transporting items, handling equipment, setting up rooms, removing trash, and handling linen. Performs general cleaning in patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned facility areas. Distributes supplies to departments and maintains stock levels. Follows applicable local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure sanitation and safety. The role is per diem/casual, with a varied schedule and 8-hour day shifts; weekend work is required as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of maintaining a sterile environment, including proper cleaning procedures and use of various equipment.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-based information and instructions.
• Written and verbal communication skills to communicate with team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital personnel.
• Time-management and organizational skills, including prioritizing assignments and meeting deadlines within standardized policies and procedures.
• Ability to operate basic environmental services equipment, including mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, and dryers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including handling multiple tasks and interruptions.
• Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and other staff members.

Responsibilities
