About The Position

Southcoast Health is seeking a Housekeeper I to perform departmental functions to established standards under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Facilities or designee. The position is located at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, Massachusetts, and is per diem. The scheduled shift is 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with weekend and holiday rotation as needed.

The role involves cleaning and disinfecting floors and bathroom fixtures, cleaning discharge beds, and maintaining clean equipment and janitors’ closets. The pay range is USD $16.32–$22.94 per hour, with the rate determined by experience.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to understand written and verbal communication and instructions.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift objects over 25 pounds and bend repeatedly.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for a medical or personal exemption by signing a statement certifying the choice to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
