Housekeeper I
About The Position
Southcoast Health is seeking a Housekeeper I to perform departmental housekeeping functions at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, Massachusetts. Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Facilities or designee, the Housekeeper I meets established standards while cleaning and disinfecting floors and bathroom fixtures, cleaning discharge beds, and keeping equipment and janitors’ closets clean. This position is scheduled for 32 hours per week on the evening shift, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. The listed pay range is $16.80–$22.60 per hour, with the rate determined by experience.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to understand written and verbal communication and instructions.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to lift objects over 25 pounds and bend repeatedly.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for a medical or personal exemption by signing a statement certifying the choice to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in institutional housekeeping is preferred.
