About The Position

Clean and sanitize rooms and furnishings according to established policies, procedures, and schedules to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hospital and related buildings. Stock supplies in restrooms and appropriate rooms in the hospital and related buildings. The position is PRN/OCC with variable hours per pay period and variable shifts.

Requirements

No minimum education specified; a combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the essential tasks is acceptable.

No licensure required.

High school diploma or GED may be preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned areas according to established schedules and prescribed methods.
Assist with cleaning emergency spills when observed or upon request.
Check assigned equipment daily for cleanliness and proper repair.
Observe and report the need for repairs to equipment, furnishings, buildings, and fixtures.
Remove waste and soiled linens from work areas and place them in specified containers or bags.
Handle biohazardous waste properly.
Monitor supply and equipment levels and notify the supervisor when additional supplies are needed.
Inspect completed tasks and assigned areas.
Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Complete required annual education assignments.
Work toward goals and objectives and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.
