About The Position

We are seeking a proactive, highly organized, and reliable Household Manager to become an extension of our family. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our busy household, supporting our family of four. The ideal candidate will bring professionalism and a natural fit to our home, helping to reduce the family's mental load by managing household logistics and providing attentive childcare. Our goal is to have a helping hand where needed, whether it be running errands, helping maintain systems in our home or being a trusted and loving caretaker to our children.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional Household Manager experience in a private home (or equivalent transferable experience in a related role).
  • Prior childcare experience, with an understanding of age-appropriate activities, routines and safety practices.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Candidates must be fully vaccinated in accordance with current American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommendations for caregivers of young children, including MMR, Tdap and annual Influenza vaccination.
  • Maintain a smoke-free environment.

Responsibilities

  • Meal Planning and Prep: Prepare practical, make-ahead meals and ingredients, prep healthy snacks and school lunches, kitchen reset and maintenance, build and manage grocery lists, and perform grocery pick-up.
  • Family Support & Child Assistance: Occasional school pick-ups and transportation, attentive and engaging care for two children, occasional evening childcare for date nights, prep backpacks and clothing for school days, and handle child-related errands.
  • Household Management and Organization: Maintain existing organization systems, manage running household supply lists and restocking, perform daily resets (dishes, surfaces, vacuuming, patio prep), prep home for weekly cleaner, manage drop zones, handle seasonal swaps, donation drop-offs, guest room prep, and watering plants.
  • Laundry & Linens: Wash, fold, organize, and put away household laundry and linens, perform weekly linen changes, occasional ironing and steaming, and keep laundry area tidy.
  • Inventory & Errands: Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies, manage running supply lists and subscriptions, handle returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping, and mail/package handling.
  • Deep Cleaning & Special Projects: Occasional deep cleans (refrigerator, stove, oven, baseboards), organizational projects (pantry, closets, toys), and sorting/filing children's artwork and seasonal rotations.
  • Vehicle Management: Fueling, weekly car wash, and organization of the family vehicle.
  • Administrative & Personal Assistant Support: Partner to manage and maintain the household calendar, coordinate schedules, track receipts and expenses using a household credit card.
