About The Position

The House Person cleans and maintains corridors and public areas according to housekeeping procedures, standards, and safety and security rules, helping ensure guest satisfaction. This is a part-time role at The Crawford Hotel in Denver. No formal education or prior experience is required.

Requirements

• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Ability to meet standards of appearance.
• Ability to communicate with guests, housekeepers, the main linen room attendant, and supervisor.
• Ability to assess the required response to meet standards.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including pushing a vacuum, carrying supplies and dirty linen, bending and kneeling, reaching and moving around assigned areas, continuous standing or walking, and climbing stairs.

Responsibilities

• Walk assigned floors at the beginning and end of each shift; remove newspapers and service trays and empty trash receptacles.
• Remove trash and linens and identify areas needing immediate cleaning.
• Clean public areas, including hallways, elevators, service areas, and stairwells, while following safety and security procedures.
• Take soiled linen, terry, and trash from service areas to the appropriate locations.
• Assist section housekeepers as needed, including with bed boards and roll-aways.
• Stock linen and supply closets to maintain par inventories.
• Report missing or found articles, damage, and merchandise problems to the Senior Housekeeper or supervisor.
• Respond hospitably to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints.
